Ants are one of the most common pests in and around the home, they are generally found in nests in the garden, however they often move indoors. They can potentially nest in walls and ceilings, causing problems with electrical wiring.
There are many different species of ants that cause problems in even the cleanest of homes. Because they have differing food preferences, their identification is important to determine the best control procedure.
What you can do to help:
- Clean up all food left in and around house.
- Notify our technician of any ant nests or problem areas that you are aware of.
- Cut trees and shrubs away from perimeter of house.
- Cover fish ponds, fish tanks (turn off filter/ heater at power point) and food.
- Please be ready to leave as soon as our technician arrives.
- Although we cannot guarantee that every ant will be eliminated annual baiting and spraying affected areas keeps them under control.

How do I get rid of ants?

Do I have to do anything prior to having my house treated for ants?
Prior to having your house treated for ants we suggest that you clean up all food left in and around house, notify our technicians of any ant nests or problem areas that you are aware of, cut trees and shrubs away from perimeter of house and cover any fish ponds, fish tanks and food.
Do I have to vacate my property when the treatment is carried out?
You are required to vacate your house from the moment our technicians arrives, it is recommended that you stay away from the property for 4-6 hours to allow the chemical to dry.
How often should I get my house treated for ants?
It really depends on how bad your ant problem is. Our technician will be able to advise you on how often your house will need to be treated to get the best results, generally we recommend a treatment be carried out annually.
How long will it take for the treatment to be effective?
The treatment can take up to 1-2 weeks to be fully effective. Not every Ant will be eliminated however the treatment will help control them.
Is there a warranty on your treatment?
We offer a three month warranty on all of our general pest treatments, any call backs within this time will be at no extra cost. However we find most people get 6-12 months out of the treatment.
Is the treatment safe for my family and pets?
Please follow all directions regarding the time required to be away from your property to allow the pesticides to dry completely.
